The annual walk to remember is when the family of a baby that has died gets to take steps for their baby that they never got to. This symbolic gesture allows families to feel like their sweet baby is remembered and honored. As well, it helps to connect the loss community together.
This years walk to remember is being held at Thompkins Park on October 2, 2021. We will have registration open to allow families to let us know how many people we can expect. As well, we are designing shirts and posters for families to use to allow other families honor and remember their babies with them.
Some people may feel afraid to come to something like this but let me reassure you that there is no pressure to talk or even meet other families. This event is for you and your baby that has died. If you feel like you want to meet other families who have been on this journey too this will be a place to connect. If you feel like you want others to hear your story this is a place to be heard.
This is your place to be honored for your pain, loss and journey.
